Places for People purchases five-plex in Carnarvon

On October 21, 2022 Places for People completed the purchase of a five-plex building on Highway 118 east of Carnarvon. We are pleased that our purchase ensures that five rental units in Haliburton County will remain rental units and will remain affordable.

Looking for tenants

Four of these units are presently occupied and the fifth is currently being advertised for rent.

Our move into multi-unit housing

While the challenges to create new multi-unit affordable housing are becoming increasingly difficult, this remains our long-term goal. We continue to seek appropriate property to achieve our goal to build and maintain affordable housing in our communities and create the conditions in which our tenants can thrive.
