100 Women Who Care donate $6800

100 Women Who Care Haliburton County selected Places for People as the donation recipient at their February meeting. At each meeting, the group learns about three local non-for-profits and then votes on which organization should receive the group’s donation.

First time recipient

Places for People has been honoured to have been considered in the past and we were thrilled to have been chosen at this most recent meeting. On February 24, Places for People’s Jody Curry and Fay Martin met with representatives of the 100 Women Who Care to accept the cheque.

Continued giving appreciated

100 Women Who Care, like so many other groups, have successfully adapted over the past 2 years and have continued their meetings electronically and have aided a number of local charities during the pandemic. We are extremely grateful to have been chosen to receive this generous donation.

Donation ready to be put to good use

The donation will move us closer to breaking ground on our new, multi-unit build.
